Good morning, family.

First, I want to take a moment to thank every one of you for tuning in throughout Lent40. Your presence, your engagement, and your faithfulness in showing up during this season mean more than words can express. We did this together — and I am genuinely grateful for every one of you.

Lent40 is over, but Lent is not ending until Maundy Thursday. Before Holy Week, we close the devotionals so we can spend real time reflecting and praying more deeply. And before we enter that sacred silence, I want to share what the Holy Spirit helped me understand and receive this season.

These are my lessons from Lent 2026:

  1. Choosing prayer over anger and proving yourself right is much more powerful — it has real impact. God works in you and also in the one you are praying for.

  2. Being patient is not a request but a need — without it, you cannot truly surrender your whole self to God.

  3. Discernment in every area of your life is important. It is not that the Holy Spirit does not speak to us — it is that we ignore such promptings because of our lack of awareness. I ignored God's promptings many times this Lent. Now that I reflect, I see I need to respond much faster to the Holy Spirit and not respond at all to my feelings.

  4. Being kind and generous will not cost you anything if you believe that God is your Provider. The spirit of Lent is for the entire year. Charity is our expression of faith — without it, we fail to radiate the love of Christ in the lives of others.

  5. Work for the glory of God — Opus Dei. Laziness and unwillingness are real problems I am not ignoring. Learning what it means to serve God where we are, and counting our blessings, surely boosts our morale and our desire to do more and continue.

  6. Will Jesus be enough if He is the "only One" who sees your hard work, your cries, your sufferings? Will He be enough if He is the "only One" who sees your persecution? Will He be enough if He is the ONLY ONE who truly understands you? These are questions I had to answer through my everyday life, my behaviors, my thoughts, and my words. I am still learning — but I can say with conviction: "You are more than enough, Lord." When we lean on others for what only God can give us, we are met with hostility and misunderstanding. Approach every area of your life with prayerfulness and watch how your relationships change.

  7. Fasting is useless if you still harbor bitterness and do not change your ways. It is not about perfection. Efforts matter more than we talk about.

  8. Not having time to read or listen to the Bible is the greatest lie that exists today.

  9. Rushing will only cause panic. A prayerful heart knows that God is on its side and there is nothing to fear. There were moments this Lent where I messed up and thought I had to clean everything up myself — but God showed up in ways I could hardly measure. That is the unending love of God for you.

  10. Thank God every day — especially for those times when He carried you with His grace because you couldn't walk anymore.

  11. God's grace is what sustains us. He is the Living Bread. Not thanking Him for His grace is a crime in my eyes. Christ is our firm foundation. He is the True Vine, and we are His branches.

  12. The Passion of Christ should be remembered every day.

  13. We are sojourners — travelers, pilgrims. Earth is not our home. Let that sink in. It is not. So stop being comfortable in this world. Sin is enjoyable only as long as your love for the world is greater than your love for Christ. Not understanding the depth of His Passion results in such ignorant behavior.

Let us now enter Holy Week with open, surrendered hearts. He is worthy of every moment of our attention this week.

God bless you all.
